liberalism and the minimum wage

I have written that liberals want to raise the minimum wage, despite all of the many ways the wage hike will hurt African Americans. The question then becomes, why do liberals want to raise the minimum wage? Why would liberals, of all people, want to do something that would be so hurtful to the poorest people in America? I have a theory.

Liberal Democrats understand the damage that would be done by a minimum wage hike, but their thought process leads them to say, "That's OK. It doesn't matter of a half million African Americans lose their jobs tomorrow. That's what we have taxpayer-funded welfare entitlement programs for. Those that lose their jobs will go on welfare, and they will learn to depend on Mommy and Daddy Government for their daily bread. After awhile, they will learn to like it. And they will thank us, the liberals, for taking such good care of them."

That's one reason. Another reason has to do with the labor unions, who have bought and paid for all the liberal politicians in the country. When the minimum wage goes up, the next thing that happens is that labor union negotiators demand higher wages for their members. I've been part of a union before, and I can tell you that union pay is based directly upon minimum wage. M.W. goes up, union pay goes up, union contributions to liberal Democrats goes up. Simple!

Do you see how important it is to keep liberals out of office? Liberalism causes higher unemployment, higher taxes, lower productivity and a slower economy. It causes a free market, capitalist society to be transformed into a socialist society.
