the progressive war against the second amendment

This is an interesting article from Human Events Online concerning the modern liberal plan of attack against the Second Amendment. Anyone who has been paying attention knows the following:
1. Liberals are pro-choice concerning the right to murder unborn babies, but anti-choice concerning the right to bear arms. The Constitution specifically safeguards the right to bear arms and says nothing about a "right to abortion", so this speaks volumes about the "respect" liberals have for the Constitution.
2. Gun control laws don't protect people. In fact, gun control laws make law abiding citizens less safe. This fact has been proven true over and over again. Why? Because the cliche is true--when you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.
3. Liberals look at the facts and.....still pursue gun control laws. Why? I don't know. Is it because, as "Hondo-Watch" so eloquently said in one of his comments, liberals don't "perceive" those facts to be true, so they "perceive" themselves to be doing the right thing, so their "perception" becomes "their reality", so everything is groovy? I don't know--psychoanalysis is above my pay grade. I do know that, for whatever reason, liberals do ignore facts, logic and reason in order to pursue their "upside-down world" agenda.
4. The article in the above link is right on the money. Supporters of the Second Amendment can never let their guard down. The modern left will subversively eliminate the right to bear arms the moment we turn our backs.
