what does cutural marxism look like today?
***A college student named Stanislav Shmulevich threw a copy of the Quran in a toilet, and was charged with a hate crime, which is a felony. If convicted, he will face years in prison. On the other hand, American photographer Andres Serrano took a picture of a small plastic crucifix supporting the body of Jesus Christ submerged in a glass of the photographer's urine. The photo was a winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art's "Awards in the Visual Arts" competition. By the way, that competition is partially sponsored by the National Endowment of the Arts, which is a federal agency funded by you and me. Modern American cultural Marxists defend P--- Christ as "artistic expression" protected by the 1st Amendment. Flushing a Quran receives no such protection.
***Public school administrators all across America have prohibited Christmas displays. They have prohibited prayer at graduation and sporting events. They have suspended students who wore T-shirts bearing Christian messages, or who openly prayed in front of others. One school corporation went as far as to ban any teaching of the Declaration of Independence in social studies classes because it mentions God. On the other hand, the University of Michigan at Dearborn established a "Muslim Accommodations Task Force." The MATF worked to secure accommodations for Muslim students so that they could openly practice their faith. Menus were altered in the campus dining halls to accommodate Muslim eating guidelines. Special rooms were constructed to accomodate Muslim prayer guidelines. All of this was at taxpayer expense. Future goals of the MATF are to provide "sensitivity training" to faculty, staff and students so as to avoid "offending" Muslims, offer Islamic Studies programs so as to "educate" students concerning the "specialness" of Islam, and the implementation of campus-wide celebrations of Eid--an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan.
***Black rappers use the N-word and the "Ho" word (and much worse) repeatedly in their "music" and it is celebrated as "creative expression" and "keepin' it real" and it is protected by the 1st Amendment. A white radio guy, with an IQ smaller than the circumference of his cowboy hat, uses the N-word and the "Ho" word, and he loses his job. Further, the nation's cultural Marxist thought police proposed tough new government regulations on what can be said on the radio in order to "protect" the oppressed "victim groups" who were so grievously offended by the IQ-challenged cowboy, and other radio types who express "unapproved" opinions.
***Affirmative action programs (that's cultural Marxist code for "quotas") say that college admission and job hiring will be based upon the color of your skin, and not on the content of your character or your particular abilities. This is necessary, say the Marxists, to make up for events that transpired 200 years ago.
I could go on for hours listing all of the different ways in which cultural Marxism has infected American culture, but you get the point. Little by little, traditional America is being destroyed by people who have greater admiration for Karl Marx, Mao Tse-Tung and Hugo Chavez than they do for George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan.
The question at this point is simple. The answer may be a little more complex. What are we going to do about it? That's the subject for the next post.
