civil rights and liberaliar hypocricy

From the Associated Press: "China executed a former director of its food and drug agency Tuesday for approving fake medicine in exchange for cash, illustrating how serious Beijing is about product safety, while officials announced steps to safeguard food at next summer's Olympic Games." (see full article at www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007707110426)

All I hear about from the liberaliar media is that George Bush is a terrorist and that Pres. Bush is dangerous and that Pres. Bush wants to take away all of our civil rights. I hear liberaliars say that Scooter libby committed treason (he didn't) and that he lied about Iraq (he didn't). I hear about how the Bush administration is the most dangerous, the most evil, the most tyrannical, and the most despotic "regime" in the world.

Then I read a story like the one above from China. That's a story, by the way, that I had to dig around for because it was buried in the middle of the paper. Predictably, there has been a deafening silence from all of the usual liberal suspects. And it all becomes clearer than it has ever been before.

Liberalism is a cancer; a disease of the heart, mind and soul. it renders the victim unable to differentiate between right and wrong, fact and fiction, or good and evil. Liberals are unable to see these differences because liberalism has eaten away at their minds and souls.

This is why it's irresponsible to ever vote for a liberal!

You seem to suggest that liberals love China. You ever heard of the rhetorical device, the "straw man?"

What I'm suggesting is that liberals will never criticize the Chinese government for anything. China is one of the biggest human rights violators in the world, yet liberals don't care. Liberals will, however, take every opportunity to criticize the good old U.S.A., and Pres. George Bush.

You can call that a strawman or a scarecrow or whatever you want. I call it the truth, and the truth only hurts when it should.

You're right. China is one of the biggest human rights violators in the world. And if you look at the most vocal organizations criticizing China you'll see a lot of liberals -- Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International. A lot of tree huggers too on account of the environmental devastation sanctioned by the Chinese government -- the Three Gorges Dam in particular. The liberal New York Times has done a lot on this. So, on your point that liberals don't care about China, it's simply not true, Sir.

Well, Anonymous, apparently the liberal definition for "caring about China" and the Conservative definition of "caring about China" are vastly different.

I went to the website of Human Rights Watch and counted the number of reports that organization did on human rights violations in both the USA and China so far in 2007. The numbers were almost the same--12 reports for America and 13 reports for China. I then asked myself a very important question:

Why does Human Rights Watch consider America and China to be equal in human rights violations? After all, it is the Chinese government that executes government bureaucrats for incompetence. It is China that harvests organs from executed prisoners. It is China that has murdered more people than either Stalin or Hitler. You will find exactly "none of the above" in the United States.

Yet Human Rights Watch treats the 2 countries as if they are equivalent.

I rest my case.
