how many lies can one liberaliar pack into one newspaper column?

This is the latest screed from Eugene Robinson of The Washington Post. The column makes 3 basic points: Pres. Bush is a dummy, we need a president who is a "brainiac," and Al Gore is just that kind of ultra-intelligent brainiac. Robinson even makes the statement that ".....Gore, poor fellow, is just too ostentatiously smart to be elected president."
You have got to be kidding me! Is this guy serious? Read through the column and you will find lie after lie after lie after.....well, you get the point. We have arrived at the proverbial teachable moment. Let the lesson begin.
Did you know that Al Gore earned mostly B's and C's in high school in English, French and history? Did you know that his grades weren't good enough to get into Harvard, but that his dad (a U.S. Senator) pulled strings to get him in? Did you know that Gore placed in the bottom fifth in his class during both his freshman and sophomore years at Harvard? During his sophomore year, Gore earned one D, one C-minus, two C's, two C-pluses, and a B-minus. Did you know that Al Gore failed five of his eight classes at Vanderbilt Divinity School and dropped out of Vanderbilt Law School? Now, I don't know where y'all are from, but in my hometown, we don't call a guy like that a "brainiac." In my hometown, a guy like that would come home and flip burgers for minimum wage, in hopes of doing well enough to be appointed night manager. Either that, or he would go into politics. Or journalism. By the way, did you know that, during a tour of Monticello in 1993, Gore looked at two carvings of George Washington and Benjamin Franklin and asked the curator, "Who are those guys?" (That was reported by Adam Nagourney in USA Today on Jan. 18, 1993.) Oh yeah! That's a bright guy!
Let's compare that impressive record to Pres. George W. Bush. He scored a 1206 on his SAT's in high school, putting him in the top 10% in the nation. Pres. Bush earned a bachelor's degree in history from Yale and his MBA from Harvard Business School with a 3.6 GPA. He flew fighter jets in the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam War. It is impossible to be a dummy and fly jets. They won't take you, no matter who your daddie is.
I think that kind of settles the question of who's the brainiac. Once again, conservative truth defeats liberal lies every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Good try Eugene. Come back when you've got something intelligent to say.
