the iraq surrender group

http://hurricaneharry.blogspot.com/2006/08/how-to-negotiate-with-terrorists.html

Well, the Iraq Surrender Group, led by James "Jimmy Carter" Baker and Lee "Jimmy Carter" Hamilton, has concluded their extremely important work, and a grateful nation is thankful. Their conclusions can be summed up as follows:
1. We must not allow ourselves to even contemplate the word "victory", as it pertains to Iraq. If the world thought we were actually trying to win, it would make them feel bad. Therefore, we will not pursue victory.
2. We acknowlege that Iran and Syria are fueling the violent insurgency in Iraq. To solve this problem, we must "engage" these two countries in a "dialogue" where all can feel as though they will take away something positive from the exchange. Sort of like the "Oprah" show. After we cave in to all of Iran's and Syria's maniacal demands, we can cut-and-run out of Iraq to the applause of the global audiance.
3. When Iraq turns into a bloodbath after our surrender, and the Middle East blows up into the worst war the world has ever seen, and when we lose a couple of major American cities to terrorist attacks, then all of the numb-nuts who contributed to the cockamamie ISG report can wring their hands and gaze at their navels and wonder, "Why, oh why, did things go oh so wrong?".
There is a basic concept concerning war and peace that the vast majority of America's leaders just don't understand. Peace doesn't come from talking. Peace won't happen if we stop fighting. Peace will only happen if America achieves total and complete victory over Islamofascism. There will not be any peace until America kills all of the terrorists, and destroys their WMD's and their weapon-making capabilities, and turns their cities and strongholds into parking lots. Peace will require the use of nukes, so that all traces of Islamofscism is erased from the face of the earth. Then, America will be able to dictate the terms of peace to the countries that formerly sponsored the terrorists. That is the only successful blueprint there is for victory and peace in this Third World War. The Iraq Surrender Group has put together a plan that 100% guarantees that there will be more terrorist attacks, much worse than 9/11, on American soil in the future. The ISG plan guarantees that our children and grandchildren will have to sacrifice greater amounts of blood to defeat terrorism than we would have to if we would just have some balls and finish the job.
What should the ISG report have said? If that pathetic group of cowards had followed the example set by Pres. Reagan and principled conservatism, the report would have recommended the following:
Pres. Bush goes on worldwide TV and says that Iran and Syria have exactly one week to pull out of Iraq. The insurgency must stop immediately. Then those two countries must publically renounce Islamofascist terrorism, and they must agree to destroy all of their WMD's. They must also agree to allow America to monitor their progress in these areas. If Iran and Syria refuse to agree 100% with these demands, then America turns Tehran and Damascus into great big parking lots! We ask the leaders of those two countries if the words "Hiroshima" and "Nagasaki" are familiar to them. And then we don't back down. If they call our bluff, we pull the trigger. That, ladies and gentlemen, is the recipe for victory!
Go to the above link and read Hurricane Harry's post from October that so clearly illustrates these basic truths. Then read the following lines from the movie The Untouchables (Kevin Costner/Sean Connery/Robert DeNiro/Andy Garcia) and subsitute the word "Islamofascism" for the name "Al Capone." Here endeth the lesson!

Malone: You said you wanted to get Capone. Do you really wanna get him? You see what I'm saying is, what are you prepared to do? Ness: Anything and everything in my power. Malone: And *then* what are you prepared to do? If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way because they're not gonna give up the fight until one of you is dead. Ness: How do you do it then? Malone: You wanna know how you do it? Here's how: they pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way, and that's how you get Capone! Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that? Ness: I have sworn to capture this man with all legal powers at my disposal and I will do so. Malone: Well, the Lord hates a coward. Do you know what a blood oath is, Mr. Ness? Ness: Yes. Malone: Good, 'cause you just took one.

Hondo -- look at your children. Now go over to them and kill them. Burn them in a fire. What? The thought repulses you? But that's what you want to do to 1 million children in Damascus and Tehran. That's what happens when you use nuclear weapons to "turn them into a parking lot." You have murder in your heart, Hondo. You proclaim yourself to be a Christian. Jesus must blanch in horror at you, mate.

Bukko provides a very clear illustration of how tragically flawed liberal thinking is. I can't think of a better way to demonstrate how damaging the cancer of liberalism is to the heart, mind and soul than this reply from Bukko. Here's why.
First Bukko says, "Look at your children." Well, Bukko, I have, and there aren't many things in this world scarier to me than the thought that they might become the victims of Islamofascist terrorism. You see, Bukko, the radical Muslim world has vowed to murder my children, and all of the other peaceful citizens of the world who don't convert to Islam. They have declared war against us simply because they hate our freedom and our religion. We have done absolutely nothing to deserve their hatred; in fact, if the Islamic terrorists would lay down their weapons today, the fighting would be over because we have no intentions of bothering them. That's not going to happen, though, because Islamofascism is the greatest evil of this century and it won't be satisfied until America is dead. The citizens of the countries that sponsor Islamofascism refuse to rise up against it and "peaceful" Muslims refuse to condemn the murder and mayhem. That leaves America with a very difficult choice to make. Do we roll over and let Islamofascism murder our children, destroy our cities, and defeat our nation? Or do we stand up against this evil and use all of our resources and and all of our weapons to erase this evil from the face of the earth in order to defend our families? That's an easy choice for me. If turning Damascus and Tehran into parking lots will defeat Islamofascism and save American lives, then we have an obligation to pull the trigger. If peace-loving people in the Middle East won't rise up against the cancer that is consuming their region, then they are no longer innocent, and they will suffer the consequences.
By the way, you seem to be implying in your comments that Christians are not allowed to defend themselves from an attack. What part of the Bible is that in? As a secular progressive, you should be careful in trying to define Christianity--a religion and teaching that you don't really understand. It would, in fact, be completely un-Christian for me to advocate letting Islamofascism murder innocent Americans. There is nothing Christian about cowardice or stupidity.

I do find it interesting however, my dear Hondo that your so called "islamofaciasts" have killed fewer Americans since the 1960's than the average number of American’s killed by lightning strikes in one year. In fact more Americans die each year from peanut allergies than have from all terrorist attacks since the 1960's combined. You seam so convinced that they are out to get us based on the fact of what? Perhaps because we are a superpower thug nation? Tell me of one superpower in the history of the world that didn't collapse because they lost sight of their own internal issues while they were too busy imperializing and colonializing the rest of the world. You always put yourself on an intellectual pedestal over liberals – claiming that they are inferior in every way possible. Only when people such as you stop the childish name calling of the opposing view holders can an actual adult discussion ensue. You seem to have forgotten that at the root of politics is compromise. You seem to have forgotten that a little humility and respect for history are the two most important qualities that Americans have lost touch of.

Anonymous, there is so much wrong with your comments that it is hard to know where to start. I guess I'll just start at the beginning.
First, you say that more Americans have been killed by peanut allergies and lightening strikes than by Islamic terrorists since the '60's. OK....so what? What's your point? I'm sure there is some great liberal insight somewhere in that ridiculous statement, but I sure can't see it. Do you mean, perhaps, that we should just forget about 9/11 and focus our resources on regulating peanut farms? I suggest that you find a nice agricultural blog to comment on, since that seems to be your interest.
Then you say "they are out to get us based on the fact of what?" Oh my! Earth to Anonymous! We know Islamofascism is out to destroy America because they told us so! Islamofascism has declared war on America because they hate Christians, they hate Israel (our ally) and they hate our freedoms. Every terrorist leader who has ever spoken publically has said that! You really need to pay attention, anonymous!
Next, you stated that Islamofascism is out to get us because we are a "superpower thug nation" that has become too concerned with imperializing and colonizing the world while losing sight of our internal issues. What internal issues would those be, Anonymous? Please enlighten me. And what about that part where you talk about colonizing and imperializing. Can you name one single colony we have established anywhere? Can you name one single government that we have seized control of and that we control today. The answer, of course, is "no." Just more liberal ranting about life in the world of make believe.
Next you accuse me of name calling. I don't call people names, unless you count the hundreds of times that I have called people "liberal" or "secular progressive." You might have a point, after all. I would be mad, too, if someone called me those names.
Last, you talked about the importance of compromise. It always makes me giggle when liberals start talking about compromise. The word "compromise", to a liberal, means that conservatives have to get out of the way and let liberals run the show. No thanks, Anonymous, I would prefer not to compromise. I believe that I will continue to be uncompromising in the relentless pursuit of that which is right and just and true. That's how we wooden-headed conservatives are!
