it's only funny because it's true!

There's nothing I can add to this. If you're conservative, you will laugh. If you're liberal, you have no sense of humor, so you will just be disgusted. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the visit and comments. As for the post and the recommended site, I laughed, as I am a conservative.

If you liked that site you'll love this one, a similar and yet more detailed version of the other.

So funny I forgot to laugh. Let me refute a few points it makes, until I get bored with the waste of time it is trying to explain things to you.

This would-be satirical site blames lowered education levels on liberals? It was George Bush and his "No Child Left Behind" act that resulted in teachers teaching students how to pass the standardised tests, and nothing else. I read a lot of comments from teachers who say they don't have time to educate kids any more because their schools are so wound up with trying to get kids to pass the bloody tests on which the money depends. This is a right-wing device, not a liberal one.

Reduce the deficit? Republicans have been EXPANDING the deficit. Bill Clinton had a federal budget surplus. Even the admitted "deficit" figures from the Cheney administration showed a $248 billion deficit for the past fiscal year. And that's after they do tricks like declare some items of spending, like the war the U.S. is LOSING in Iraq, to be "off budget." Just because you don't count the money you're spending doesn't mean it's not being spent. Democrats lower deficits; Republicans increase them.

Ditto for the "4.7% unemployment rate." What this measures is how many people are getting unemployment cheques. When a person's unemployment bennies expire after 6 months and they're thrown off the unemployment rolls, PRESTO! they're no longer counted in the unemployment rate. But that doesn't mean they have a job. The number is bogus, another case of liars figuring.

Do you ever get tired of being played for a sucker by the people who deny reality? You're like the woman who walks into her house and sees her husband humping another woman in their bed. He says "I was NOT screwing her! Who are you going to believe -- ME, or your lying eyes?"

Except as I was writing that analogy, I realised your mind went straight to Bill Clinton. Just like it always does, eh mate?

The No Child Left Behind act is liberal legislation. It was authored largely by Ted Kennedy at the request of Pres. Bush. That was a very ignorant thing for Bush to do, in my opinion, but now we are stuck with the law. More proof of my statement that Bush is not a real conservative. I agree that it is a terrible law that has worsened education in this country. The answer to the problem would be to repeal all federal education laws and to abolish the Dept. of Education. The federasl govt. has no business getting involved in the education of our kids.
As for the federal deficit, you are absolutely dishonest to say that it has increased. It has been reduced because of the tax cuts.
Unemployment? Quite honestly, I don't care how the number is figured. What I do care about is that the number is figured the same way each and every year, and it's lower today than it was in the 60's or the 70's or the 80's or the 90's. George Bush has been one of the two best economy presidents that we have had in the last 100 years.

The has been little if any 'public education' in the USA since the mid-60's.

Public schools have become indoctrination centers operated by the Progressives and enforced by the DOE and NEA.

As every single day goes by the general population gets stupider and stupider as the Progressive/Socialists want.
