This is another demonstration of why you are wrong about everything. Instead of comparing apples to oranges to make a point about the price of hamburgers, you are comparing solar flares to the size of Earth, and trying to make a point about global warming.
Earth to Hondo: the Sun is a large fiery ball. It is far away. It shoots out large flares of gas. Always has, always will for another 5 billion years, unless you're a Christian, in which case you believe the Sun is only 6,000 years old and will go out when Jesus returns. And that's going to be soon!
Global warming is caused by the buildup of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere. Solar flares dissipate their heat into the vacuum of space, 93 million miles away. (Do Christians believe the Sun is 93 million miles away, or do you believe the Sun rotates around the Earth? It says so in the Bible, that the Sun circles the Earth, so if you believe the Earth goes around the Sun, you are questioning the inerrancy of the Bible...) It's apples and oranges, Hondo. And BTW, Rev. Pat Robertson now says he believes global warming is true. I heard him saying it on a sound clip played on Air America Radio, which we download here. Do you doubt the word of a man to whom God speaks regularly? One of you must be wrong! Are you smarter than Pat Robertson?
Mate, I sure hope you don't teach science. I hope you don't teach ANYTHING. When you say you're in education, I hope that means you're a school accountant, or a groundskeeper or something. Those are honourable jobs where you couldn't misguide young minds...
Pat Robertson does believe in globel warming. He also believes that we should kill foregn leaders and he prays for SC juctise Ginsberg to die. He's no one to be proud of.
