As I've said before, the Western world (so as to simultaneously save the Earth from gases and save the proletariat from $3.00 gas) has decided to cure our addiction to the cheap and abundant resource of fossil fuel by replacing it with the precious and rare resource known as “food.” On any analysis, thermodynamic, economic, or moral, this is absolute lunacy -but the important thing is ethanol as biofuel sounds good and can help one win votes in Iowa. Now The Times (UK) adds insult to my intellectual injury by reporting that even the dictators that run China have figured out the idiocy of ethanol before my own people. Interesting story.
