As we approach the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement, it would be good for us to contemplate the Christian heritage of America. Our country was founded by Christians, and the very first governments were founded upon the principles of Christianity. Our Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were created on those same principles, and a nation was born where people were free to worship as they saw fit.
