Separation of church and state (original definition understood by the Founding Fathers)-- a concept meaning that the federal government had no business telling "we the people" how to worship.
Separation of church and state (modern liberal definition)--all public expressions of Christian faith are to be prohibited by the federal government. Nobody holding public office may use their office to express Christian faith. All traces of Christian faith must be erased from plain view in the public square.
