frightening poll results

The poll results discussed in this article are scary, but not surprising. Every non-Muslim man, woman and child here in America should open their eyes, look at information like this, and ponder long and hard about the implications. For me, the highlites of this poll are:
1. 84% of all Muslims surveyed for this British poll said that they felt they had been treated fairly by British society and that they have more in common with non-Muslims in the UK than with Muslims in other parts of the world. That's good news.
2. Despite the feelings of that large majority, 40% of Muslims aged 16-24 living in England said they would prefer to live under sharia law in the UK, and 36% of the younger Muslims believe in the death penalty for those who convert away from Muslim to another religion. That's bad news.
3. 13% of young Muslims surveyed said they "admired" al-Qaida and other organizations that were prepared to "fight the West." That's frightening news!
Chew on those numbers for a moment, and then read the following quote from the article:
Foreign policy was shown to be a key issue for British Muslims, with 58 percent of respondents saying many of the world's problems were "a result of arrogant Western attitudes." Their knowledge of foreign affairs was sketchy, with only one in five knowing that Mahmoud Abbas was head of the Palestinian Authority.
Munira Mirza, the leading author of the report, said the results suggested UK government policy was to blame for sharpening divisions between Muslims and non-Muslims and suggested the government should engage Muslims as citizens, not through their religious identity.
She said: "The emergence of a strong Muslim identity in Britain is, in part, a result of multicultural policies implemented since the 1980s which have emphasized difference at the expense of shared national identity and divided people along ethnic, religious and cultural lines.
How does that taste, freedom-loving Americans? Would I be correct in saying that most radical Muslims are fairly ignorant of world affairs, and that their ignorance is a principle reason behind their hatred for the West (and especially America) and that we can talk ourselves blue in the face to these monstrous extremists without ever dissuading them from their murderous agenda? As a freedom-loving, peace-loving society, "we the people" of the United States need to wake up and demand that our military and political leaders wisely unite in a declared, full-scale war against radical Islam. The alternative is the destruction of a peaceful Western culture and a return of the world to the Dark Ages.
