If you are a parent, you should read this. We talk a lot about missionaries in our churches, but I think that term is misunderstood. There are millions of "missionaries" in our world today who probably don't think of themselves as missionaries. They are called "parents." There isn't a more important mission in the world than the mission we are called to as parents. This is where the "rubber meets the road"; this is where the "game is won or lost"; this is (insert favorite sports cliche). We must teach our children to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength; we must teach our children to love others as much as they love themselves; we must teach our children to live as "lights of the world."
